How to Buy KRANG on a Decentralized Exchange

This guide explains how to acquire the KRANG token using a decentralized exchange (DEX).
The process described below uses Uniswap on the Base network as an example.

Prerequisites​

Before acquiring KRANG, ensure you have the following:

  • a compatible Web3 wallet
  • access to the Base network
  • sufficient ETH on Base to cover transaction fees

Step 1: Choose a Wallet​

You need a digital wallet that supports the Base network.

Commonly used wallets include:

  • MetaMask (desktop & mobile)
  • Rabby Wallet (desktop)
  • Coinbase Wallet (desktop & mobile)
  • Trust Wallet (mobile)

Only download wallets from official websites or app stores to avoid scams.

Step 2: Install and Set Up a Wallet (Example: MetaMask)​

  1. Visit the official MetaMask website and install the browser extension or mobile app.
  2. Create a new wallet and follow the setup instructions.
  3. Securely store your secret recovery phrase.
    • Losing this phrase means permanent loss of access to your wallet.
    • Never share it with anyone.

Step 3: Connect Your Wallet to the Base Network​

MetaMask may not include the Base network by default.

Step 4: Fund Your Wallet with ETH on Base​

ETH is required to pay transaction fees on Base.

  1. Purchase ETH on a centralized exchange of your choice.
  2. Withdraw ETH to your wallet on the Base network.
    • Ensure the correct network is selected during withdrawal.
    • Sending ETH to the wrong network may result in permanent loss.

Step 5: Verify the KRANG Contract Address​

Before interacting with the token, verify the official contract address.

Always verify the contract address using official Krang documentation or trusted block explorers.

Step 6: Swap ETH for KRANG on Uniswap​

  1. Visit Uniswap at https://app.uniswap.org
  2. Click Connect Wallet and select your wallet provider.
  3. Ensure the network is set to Base.
  4. Select ETH as the input token.
  5. Paste the KRANG contract address to select the output token.
  6. Enter the desired amount and review the swap details.
  7. Confirm the transaction in your wallet and approve the gas fee.

After confirmation, the KRANG tokens will be transferred to your wallet.

Step 7: Display KRANG in Your Wallet (Optional)​

If KRANG does not appear automatically:

  1. Open your wallet’s asset list.
  2. Choose Import Token or Add Custom Token.
  3. Paste the KRANG contract address.
  4. Confirm to display the token balance.

  • Always double-check URLs and contract addresses
  • Never share your private keys or recovery phrase
  • Consider using a hardware wallet for enhanced security
